So today, My 2 year old say's "mom, I pooped", note potty training is not going well.
This wasn't an awful, messy, smelly poop. Just a tiny little, I'm not done yet poop.
I ask her "should we poop in our diaper?", she replied, "noooooo", I asked " Where do we poop?" She replied "IN THE POTTY" and laughed that sweet childs laugh that melts your heart.
No sooner did I let her down from the change table then, the baby poops out the diaper and on to my leg.
This was one of those remarkably, messy, smelly awful, poops. It makes you wonder what is happening to this sweet bundles inards.
So off we go to change her.
Crisis averted and only my pants and her onesie are casualties.
I put her in her crib to change my own slighty disgusting pants.
When leaving my room, the sweet, heart melting, 2 year old comes running down the hall, while grinning that precious grin, and says,
"Mom, I pooped"
So now I stop short and turn left into her room and begin the process again.
Now let me tell you, every mother knows this story. It was only 10 minutes, but it sure felt like an hour to me!
